Kentucky Fried Movie (1977)

Director: John Landis
Star: Bill Bixby Jerry Zucker Evan Kim George Lazenby Henry Gibson Tony Dow Donald Sutherland
Screenwriter: David Zucker Jerry Zucker Jim Abrahams
Producer: Robert K. Weiss

Kentucky Fried Movie

A movie that planted the seeds of Saturday Night Live and gave the Zucker Brothers a foot in Hollywood's door, this television and movie satire combines dated sex and bathroom humor with timeless sight gags and slapstick.

Fresh from their triumphant LA run as the Kentucky Fried Theater the Zucker brothers and Jim Abrams (known for "Airplane") teamed up with John Landis for their first film. "The Kentucky Fried Movie" consists of sketches that spoof standard television fare and pop-culture in general. Episodes include: "Cleopatra Schwartz" in which a blaxploitation takeoff that features a black Amazon married to a rabbi; "Zinc Oxide" a spoof on educational films; and a "Fistful of Yen", a martial arts satire that features actual kung fu idols.

Killer Klowns From Outer Space (1988)

Director: Stephen Chiodo
Star: Grant Cramer Suzanne Snyder John Allen Nelson Royal Dano John Vernon

Killer Klowns From Outer Space

After a meteor plunges to Earth, young lovers Mike and Debbie discover a circus tent-spacecraft piloted by monstrous grinning, red-nosed aliens who methodically preserve tasty human treats in cotton candy cocoons.

A kampy, kult favorite about a spaceship disguised as a circus tent, which lands in a small town. The klown passengers are not happy makers of merriment however, but instead demented homicidal aliens with rather unique ways of killing their victims. (Acid pie, anyone?). Naturally, the kruel killer klowns kreate khaos for the kops, until someone discovers the aliens' weakness -- by a nose...

A Killing Affair (1985)

It's 1943, the isolated backwoods of Appalachia, a woman takes in a stranger who admits he killed her husband. He claims he was repaying him for sleeping with his wife and killing his family. The relationship between the widow and the killer intensifies, she doesn't know if she can trust him, or why she can't fight him.

King of the Gypsies

An American boy is born to lead his people. Film gives a fascinating insight into gypsy culture and traditions. Hayden is hilariously miscast as the King of the Gypsies.

Based on Peter Maas' best-selling novel, this drama examines the world of contemporary gypsies in New York City. The hero of the story is a young gypsy boy wants to turn his back on his tribe and assimilate himself into mainstream American society. But he is drawn back into the fold when his grandfather, the charismatic king of the gypsy clan, passes the title onto the boy. The boy's father, feeling snubbed, plots to murder his son.
