| A chilling suicide takes place in the city on Halloween night. As police detectives Jones and Hammond investigate the scene, they discover a tape recorder, and with the touch of a button, Sheila's story unfolds. Sheila accompanies four friends to go for a weekend getaway to a country farmhouse.
When the car breaks down near an abandoned cornfield, tensions are raised, and a playful joke between Eric and Floyd turns nasty. The group finds Floyd's mysteriously dead body and decides to hide it in the body if an old scarecrow. Soon after, they are hunted and picked off by a malevolent force that dwells within the cornfield...
